More Traveling

Punta del Este was incredible. I would love to go back and spend some more time there. After renting a moped, we drove up the coast to check out some of the various beaches. So nice. Buenos Aires was also a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to going there again in March.
The only bad parts of my trip were losing my ATM card, throwing away a tourist card I needed to get back into Argentina from Uruguay (they should really tell people to hold onto those) and then getting to the airport and having the airline (never fly Aerolineas Argentina) tell me that they had no record of me paying for my flight. As such, I needed to buy another ticket, which of course I will be disputing with my credit card company.
Back in Santiago, I was asked to participate in a photo shoot for the school's promotional materials. A bunch of us sat around for a while and posed for some very cheesy shots, but it was a lot of fun. We have another shoot tonight in a bar setting. I'll try and get a hold of some of them.
This past weekend I went with some people from school down to Pucon, about 9 hours south of Santiago. The bus ride down was none too fun, but once we got there it was a blast. The town is beautiful and sits at the base of an active volcano (pics to follow shortly). We went rafting, hiking and got to soak in the natural hot springs. Never a bad way to end a day. Because we were driving back yesterday, we missed all the excitement surrounding Pinochet's death, which is just as well. Not really a huge fan of tear gas nor getting hit with a firehose. Still, pretty cool to be in Chile during the death of an infamous dictator.
Alright, time to take a little siesta and get ready for the photo shoot. Gotta look my best.
